My entry for the "Gender Bender" contest going on in my awesome phantom of the opera club:

I hope the humor in this is easily understood... if not, basically, it's fine when Christine stands helplessly as Erik ties up Raoul, but isn't it a bit weird for a guy to do the same?

Before the contest was even issued, I had had the idea of switching all the genders of the characters in poto, but never drew anything about it. The Final Lair scene always seemed most comical to me... lines like "Be my guest, mademoiselle!" and "Pitiful creature of darkness..." sound completely stupid when the genders are switched.

Also, here are the names of the characters:

Erik --> Erika
Christine --> Christian
Raoul --> Raoulinda

I had so many other hilarious ideas for this contest, but I just got lazy and decided not to include as many as I could... but if you ever get bored, try going through the whole soundtrack and in your mind, switch the genders around. Instead of the auctioneer yelling "gentlemen!!" he'd shout "ladies!!!" or try to imagine carlos (instead of carlotta) shreiking "those who tangle with donna juanaaaaa!!!!!" at the top of her voice. It's lots and lots of fun.

I hope I didn't just include ideas for future submissions to the contest.... hmmm. please don't steal my ideas, okay? come up with your own.
