And I had SO much fun doing this. Only took me about 4-5 hours. And the background is NOT digitally edited, it was digitally painted.
Don't know if those scratch/bruises are accurate since he definitely has them at the end of the film but not so much in the first scene, and I took the background/lighting inspiration from the first scene. IDK I guess I kind of wanted to give him some nice detail. besides the very thought of those aliens in that flashback torturing him in any way gives me all sorts of feelings
So yes, please join me and Loki's army on my tumblr! [link]
Again I just had a ton of fun with the detail in this. Rarely do I try to be as legit as this with costume detail. This was definitely fun.
And in case you'd like to hear my thoughts on Loki, here they are: "Basically I think Tom Hiddleston as an actor is superb, classy, gorgeous and very passionate about his work and characters… and that inspires me. And I DO have a crush on him. It’s his whole FACE.
Secondly, LOKI as a character although villainous, crazy and disastrously misguided, is somewhat redeemable and symbolic of a prodigal son. You’ve all heard the story, but he is, to me, the epitome of a “lost soul” who should not be scorned or discounted… rather, understood, made human, and pitied in the most loving sense of the word. Look around… there are so many LOKIS around us that we may not see because in their souls they are crying out desperately as Loki is… fatherless, abandoned, hopeless, arrogant, living for lies and out of jealousy… desiring control and significance… all this is human nature. And only unconditional, perfect love can cure these lies.
Basically I like to metaphorically wrap up my worldview about God, people and how we should try to pick up our fallen brothers in the character and story of Loki. You can tell his end will be bittersweet and redeeming… it already is!"
Hope you all like! God bless.

thank you so much! I just got into this stuff b/c of Avengers and the other movies. To start a comic book search for good Loki stuff... where does one start?
I did watch a few cartoons on Netflix, Thor: Legends of Asgard and Thor and Loki: Blood Brothers. Oh, and Thor vs. Hulk. I enjoyed those. But I was at Barnes and Noble the other day and there was a small assortment of Marvel Comic books... nothing of the original stuff.
hmm...well i've always been a DC girl (batman <3 !!!)but i do love Marvel also. but after the avengers came out, i really got back into Marvel. i'll do some digging and see what i come up with for ya. i've got a fellow comic book nerd friend who might know more about Loki stuff than i would
