Lessons Through the Mirror

My SECOND shot at coloring with photoshop. (Actually, on this one, I drew Erik with my pad... no scans!)

Man, this took an eternity. Probably not more than 6 hours (yes, I'm still very slow w/ photoshop...) but also because some of the textures and items were very complex. Tell me if the mirror looks right-- my Dad kept having to help me get the lighting just right.

Anyway... I've always wanted to draw something like this, and finally it all came together. I hope you like the Leroux-ness of it all, and I hope I didn't forget anything. Perhaps a music stand would've been nice... then again, Erik probably knows scores of music by memory... he doesn't NEED one to practice with.

My favorite part about this peice would have to be Erik's violin, though. I've never drawn him with a violin, and he's so amazingly adorable!! ah... to hear him play "Dies Irae" on that thing...
