I had really high expectations and bought tickets so long ago, the wait has been unbearable, but finally I went with my family and a friend. Perhaps I saw it in Chicago, I guess we'll never know! But the point is: if you ever get a chance, go see it!
Wicked is officially my third favorite musical. (sorry Jekyll and Hyde and JC Superstar!!) But it's true. Not only were the sets, costumes and voices spectacular, but the heart of the story always gets me in tears. Galinda was such a ball of energy, totally funny. But she also made me feel terribly bad for her. Poor girl practically cried the whole second act! I'm posting deviations of Wicked soon, you'll see...
I bought a t-shirt (says "defying gravity" on it!) and an awesome water bottle (says "green elixir etc." on it!) and after the show we got autographs and photos with Elphie, Fiyero, Mme. Morrible and the wizard. yay!

I've seen too many random movies lately. But the other week I saw "UP" with some really good friends of mine. Pixar movies are so adorable and full of heart, and this was no exception! I highly recommend it.
And I decided to see that insidious film High School Musical 3 with a friend... we hoped to laugh at it, and sure enough...
May I say that it was the weirdest and worst film I've ever seen?
I guess the whole switching from "real life" (which was more like an alternate reality of high school!) to some sort of a stage show kept confusing me. They had never done anything that drastic in the first two films... I had constant moments of confusion... "where are they?" and "this does NOT happen!" were phrases heard over and over.
But, eh, it was perfect for laughs!

And now for my extra exciting news: I'm going to be able to do Les Miz... officially!
It was tough applying for a license, but we did it. Oh, yes. It was terrifying when the MTI website would say things like "only an organization, such as a school, drama club, or church may perform MTI productions." I was like "eep! I hope a 'homeschool' counts!!" and much to my surprise, after filling out the forms, they sent it back with a "yes" in less than two days!!
Thank you for your prayers, and have a great summer,
Europe in just a few weeks!!!
Adios,

Phantom's amazing. I love it immensely. ; 3; I want to go and see it again when it comes back to California. We have The Lion King here right now. I want to see that one, too.
OH, AND CONGRATS ON LES MEZ~
I've heard good things about that one. I haven't actually had time to see it. (Should I read the book? ;D)

Did you know they have plans to make HSM4? AHHH! What will they do? They graduated! I just hate that franchise, and when people say, "the only musical I like is High School Musical." Guys, IT'S NOT A MUSICAL. Well, it is, but I just don't like to count it as one because it's so stupid.
Have fun in Europe (I'm jealous)! And good luck with Les Miz. I'm sure it will be fun to put on!
