Phantom by an 8-year-old

"Phantom of the Opera", according to an 8-year-old... my cousin, to be exact.

I still feel a tinge of guilt from this... these were drawn several years ago. It was 2007, I believe, and my parents were on a mission trip and I had to stay with my siblings at my uncle and aunt's house for 10 days. My cousins were ecstatic. My cousin Maddie was so thrilled, that she decided that she would draw me a little collection of drawings. She hoped she wouldn't disappoint me. So she drew "Phantom of the Opera" drawings, based on the style she had seen me draw countless of times. She is a very, very intelligent young lady... very attentive. And she asks many, many questions when I draw. Up 'till that point, I had no idea how my endless blabbering speeches had affected her knowledge on the subject. Her mother would never allow her to see the film, or read the book, or anything... but my cartoons couldn't harm the child. Anyway. She handed me this stack of drawings at the end of the week. As I leaf through them, I stutter in shock. How does she quote some of these lines? How does she know some of these scenes? How does she know all the little details of Erik's lair? I-- I've learned my lesson. From that day forward I managed to watch my mouth and not feed so much information into the poor child. Years have passed, and she seems to be normal and unaffected by the past.

Let that be a lesson to you all!!

But... what resulted out of that little incident was a treasure. Look how funny and cute these are! I'm keeping them forever. Sorry some of them came out a bit wrinkled... I couldn't fix them. Well, enjoy and laugh and please comment! God bless.
